Self-cleaning TSS sensors use infrared scattering. Suspended particulate matter and dissolved substances in the water column scatter and absorb the light, causing a change in the intensity of the light, which is used to calculate the suspended solids content of the water column. The sensor's self-cleaning brush effectively eliminates air bubbles and reduces particle adhesion, thus increasing the accuracy and stability of the sensor. The sensor requires no reagents and produces no pollution, making it more economical and environmentally friendly.
