The nitrate sensor utilizes an advanced electrochemical measurement principle. It produces an electrochemical reaction when in contact with a body of water through the use of specific electrodes. This process produces a change in current or potential that is proportional to the nitrate concentration in the water column. By accurately measuring this current or potential changes, nitrate and nitrogen sensors can be real-time, accurate calculation of the nitrate concentration in the water. It is widely used in waterworks, sewage treatment plants, aquaculture, farmland irrigation and other fields.
